About PresbyCampHistory.org
May 2024
Welcome to PresbyCampHistory.org. Here you will find a photographic, and sometimes written, history of Presbyterian Camps, Saugatuck, Michigan. These items were carefully and lovingly curated, and most often created, by the artistic work of Bill Lankton.
The purpose of this website is to enable this wonderful record of the camp to be shared and preserved.
These photos were originally scanned-in back in 2013 by Dave. He put in some very long days getting everything so it could be preserved online. Technology has moved on a bit, and I’m updating some of the web server infrastructure so it can run for another ten years, hopefully without intervention. This server is probably going to be slightly slower than before, but if you are patient you’ll be rewarded.
If you have any images you’d like to share please contact me. It’d be great to collect additional images from everyone who had a good experience at camp.

50th Year Staff Reunion
2 Jul 2024
In June 2024 Paula and Robin hosted a 50th Year Staff Reunion. There were maybe 17 people who attended, plus some more who attended via Skype! It was really great to see everyone again after so many years.
Lots of Scannin’ Going On
31 Aug 2013
Dave Burland has been working himself day and night to get the thousands of slides and photos scanned into a computer file! I really owe him a huge Thank You for volunteering to help me do the scanning!
Here is Dave busily working at the scanning computer. He’s actually doing two scans at the same time, one slide and another photo!
And here’s Dave taking his life in his hands just before we went for a ride in a sailplane. I thought he needed a break and something new, so I took him for a short ride.
Dave- thank you very much for all the great help with the scanning!

How do I download a photo?
Pretty simple!
Get the photo you want displayed on your computer screen. [1] Click on the “i”. [2] Then click on the download arrow. [3] Save the file to your desktop. See the photo below.
These are the original full size files, so they tend to be around 3mb in size.
Done!
